5 Stars Amazon does not deliver all they promise
I ordered this item from Amazon using 1 click. The web site indicated we would get “White Glove Delivery”. It was delivered on time and delivered to my living room. The shipper unpacked the TV set and left about 20 pieces around the room. When I asked if they were going to help me install the set, as indicated in the white glove delivery, they just laughed and left but they did take to packing material. I called Amazon and received the usual run around. They said I purchased the set from a third party and they were responsible for the shipping. I used 1 click to order the TV and the website indicated I was ordering from Amazon. I didn’t get any help from amazon. I like the TV Set but the service from Amazon sucks.. Until they review their policies be very careful ordering anything.
5 Stars Pioneer 60 inch HD TV
We love our new TV. Got it in time to watch football on Thanksgiving Day and throughout the weekend. The HD channels are spectacular and we are looking forward to upgrading our movie collection to Blue Ray as we now have the set to do them justice.
5 Stars Fantastic picture
I have owned this Kuro 60″ plasma for several weeks and although it has not yet been professionally calibrated I can tell you that the picture on this tv is the best I have ever seen. When playing a blu ray disc it is more clear than if the people were in the room. ESPNHD is incredible. It feels like you could reach in and touch the players. It is also beautiful in terms of it simplicity and its appearance. Expensive but worth it!
5 Stars Great Product and Great Service
I Googled the 6020FD Pioneer TV for the best price and after reading terrible reviews of service and problems with some of the other “Cheaper” sites I decided to go with Amazon. The retailer was actually 6th Ave and the price included delivery to the inside of my front door only, which was ok with me since I had to do some furniture moving. To make a long story short I plugged it in and was immediately amazed at the picture quality, even before going through all the settings. After a week I became a little more curious and began to tweak the picture settings, which made this the most realistic and clear picture I have ever seen. I previously had a 50″ LCD HD and although I thought that it had a good picture the 6020FD makes it look obsolete. It has the deepest blacks and the brightest picture. After I purchased this TV and while it was still on the delivery truck being delivered, I went back to Amazon and found the price had dropped by $89. I called Amazon and although they couldn’t help me because I purchased it from 6th Ave. they told me to call them directly. The customer support at 6th Ave. immediately credited my account for the full $89 with no questions whatsover.Pro’s: Super black backgroundFantastic brightnessRemovable speaker makes wire access easy to get toGreat Looking TVMany options for power and screen saving (Green Friendly)PC compatible with easy to access connectionsCon’sRemote hard to readHeavy 130 lbs (but thin – 3-1/2″)Huge manual to read and understand, but well worth the time.
5 Stars Fantastic!
We purchased this as an early Xmas present. CEVA White Glove Delivery Service was excellent! I had researched what the White Glove Service actually would entail and knew that they would not “install” to cable boxes, DVD, etc. Still with HDMI it was a breeze, we made the actual connections! The CEVA employees were in and out in less than an hour on a Saturday afternoon in time for the 4th quarter of the AL/FL game. It was very useful that we had downloaded the Operator’s Manual from Pioneer’s website so we knew how to assemble the stand and speakers AND about the power button on the back, not just the side.
The picture is beyond anything we imagined. We didn’t really get the “blackest black” until we started watching it.
I noticed on the Amazon website that a few days after we ordered that the TV was then being sold by 6th Ave. and at a much lower price. Though no White Glove Delivery. So it equalled out.
We are very happy with the service and the TV itself.

5 Stars Super tv
This tv is great! I am so happy with it I don’t even look at tv’s when I am shopping any more. I already have “the top of the line”. The picture is perfect. My son recommended this tv and I am so thankful that he “Knows his stuff”. I would advise anyone to purchase it.
5 Stars Great TV
Pro: Very black contrast. Sharp picture. Great for PS3 gaming.
Con: Slight glare you wouldnt get from most LCD’s.
Overall very happy with the purchase.
5 Stars Pioneer PDP-5020FD
This TV can only be described as awesome. I’ve now had the TV a little over a month. It was delivered in 4 days via CEVA white glove delivery which was great. All I had to do was plug in the HDMI lead from my cable DVR and the power lead and turn it on. The setup menu is really easy to use to customize the settings to one’s liking in a short time. I looked at many brands and models of TV’s for around 3 months before I finally decided on this one. The picture on the Pioneer was the best I saw by far in side by side comparisons that I observed in big box stores. The picture looks even more awesome in my family room entertainment center. My old DVD movies are like watching the original movie in a theater.
5 Stars I’ve started watching too much TV
The quality of this Pioneer plasma is so astounding that I find myself watching too much television – if for nothing else than to gaze at the glorious images produced by this HD plasma. Even though I work in the television industry and spend my days staring at a TV, I find myself watching even more at night.
The images are clean, the colors are true, and motion replicates that pleasant blur found in film. And it seems to smooth out that crunchy “video feel” one can find on many LED or lower end plasmas.
If you can stomach the price, it’s well worth the money. Then beware of your free time …
5 Stars Kuro 5020 Review after 1 week
I purchased this TV along with a Pioneer BDP-51 Blu-Ray player and couldn’t be happier. First off, I think the Blu-ray player and TV work well communicating together since even old dvd movies such as the Godfather look fantastic on this tv. In regards to the TV, I am impressed with the picture quality. It is even better than how it looked at my local Best Buy store. I have the setting on what Pioneer calls ‘Optimum.’ This has basically taken any errors out of my hand. It adjusts the picture based on the format of the input, lighting of the room and content on screen. Every channel I watch looks great (even the non-high def channels). Another mentionable item is glare – simply this tv doesn’t have any. I was worried about plasmas when I was shopping tv’s due to the supposed glare. The Pioneer has some sort of anti-glare coating that virtually elimiates any room glare (my tube tv had much more glare). The best LCD out there, Samsung, has signifantly more glare. Additionally, this tv has the best black level of any tv I have seen. Often times the tv’s you see in the store will have these great bold colors, but anywhere it is supposed to be black, the tv has a grey color. The Pioneer has a perfect black level. I am guessing that is why they call it KURO – Japenese = Black.

5 Stars Suits my needs perfectly – great image for the money
I have had this product for about three weeks now, and so far I am very pleased with it. The picture, which I receive from an indoor/outdoor antenna is extremely crisp. I would recommend those of you out there pondering whether or not to get cable/satellite to consider simply installing a good antenna – that way there is no video compression, and you actually get a sharper image from the local networks. I honestly cannot tell the difference between my TV’s image as a 720p and my brother-law’s 47″ 1080p Sony.
The TV menu is easy to see and use. I keep my video settings on sports generally, as it is the brightest picture (some of the others, like “movie” are just too dark for me). However, you can also adjust the picture in preference mode, and play around with brightness, sharpness, contrast, backlight, color, and tint.
I also own a wii system, and even though it is not high definition like some other gaming systems, I have to say that the picture on this TV is excellent (especially with the wii component cables attached).
The sound on the TV is also very full – I did not notice any tinniness coming from the speakers at all, and it seemed well balanced between base and treble. It will obviously not produce the same depth of sound as a full sound system, but it suits my needs perfectly.
There is, as the other reviewer indicated a minor lag time when switching between inputs, but this really doesn’t bother me. One mildly annoying element however is that most of the inputs (HDMI, component cables (AKA color stream), PC inputs, S-Video, etc.) are on the back of the TV, which is a mild nuisance. The only exception to this is Video 2, which is on the side. (This would probably be good for connecting a digital camcorder and the like).
The only other thing that seems a little inconsistent is PC connectivity. When I hook up my laptop (I use an RGB computer video cable and audio cable since my computer doesn’t have a built in HDMI port) it is necessary for me to turn the laptop off, connect the cables and then reboot, or the image will not display on the TV. Perhaps this is a standard thing for most TVs – I don’t really know, having never owned an HDTV with PC inputs before. Also, the TV seems to project the computer screen a little differently each time the computer is hooked up, and I sometimed have to do a little tweaking to get an image I’m happy with. This may just require more trial-and-error on my part. Since my primary purpose is to use the TV as a TV screen and DVD player and not a computer screen, this isn’t a big deal to me.
On the whole, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. It does its job well, displaying an excellent, non-pixelated image and it is even an energy star product, so it should save energy and money. There are other good deals on the market, but I really think that this is one of the best. It is hard to beat the price being offered by Amazon right now.
I will update later if my opinion of this product changes or I have anything more to add.
4 Stars Beautiful, seems like best bang for buck
I bought this LCD the weekend of Black Friday. I was hesitant, but i could not pass up on the price match I was getting. It comes in a big box, light sturdy.
Initial set up was easy plug and play done. The stand is easy to place and comes with screws. Channel set up is easy, finds the channels fast. This has different mode sin which you can set, for an example; gaming mode, theater mode, sports mode, and normal. I use this especially for gaming with my PS3 and Oh my God it is BEAUTIFUL! picture is so crips and clear.
the only problems I discovered is
remote lags at times. Really oversize remote. Buttons sometimes lag to perform.
A few times my speakers seem to crackle, pop.then come back to orignal sound, but i think it may because im still on regular cable. but otherwise ok.
the lcd hd tv is very sexy, sleek looking I LOVE IT!
4 Stars Good value on 32 inch LCD
The Toshiba 32AV502U seems to be a good value for a 720p LCD. It was easy to set up on the stand; the hook-up to my cable, TIVO unit, and playstation was easy; the initial set up for all the available channels was pretty easy and fast; and the picture is great. The only negatives are that the remote control & remote control buttons are too small, the ability of the set to switch between various functions seems a little slow (in other words moving from one menu screen to the next), and the process of switching back and forth between inputs is especially slow and tedious. Maybe as I learn more about the functions I can figure out a faster way to accomplish this but I haven’t found anything in the manual yet or by playing with the various buttons.
5 Stars satisfied customer
THE TV WAS GREAT. IT HAD MORE FEATURES THAN I EXPECTED. I STILL HAVE NOT SET THEM ALL UP. EVEN THOUGH BLACK FRIDAY ALL TV’S WENT ON SALE. I WANT COMPLAIN ABOUT MY PURCHASE.
5 Stars Good entry level HD television
I have had this product for about 2 weeks now and am very pleased with it, and I don’t even have an “upscaled” or “upconverted” DVD player (yet) and am basically watching 480ip (or whatever they call it). The difference between LCD and CRT is truly amazing. I got it at a really good price and even if deflation drops HDTV prices through the floor (at which point I will cry), I’ll feel proud that I helped the sagging American economy as much as I could. Seriously, if you’re on the fence, go ahead an get it. It’s a well built, solid, crisp, sharp little machine and you’ll love it. Like another reviewer said, though, if within a month or so it’s sputtering and tweaking on me, I’ll revise this so fast it will make yer head spin.

4 Stars Great for PC to TV
I bought this product looking to hook it up to my Mitsubishi 73″ tv(WD 73735). I just plugged the DVI into my computer and plugged the HDMI in to my TV and it looks beautiful! I have been using this for a year now and have not had a problem with it since. BUY THIS CABLE! It is cheaper than the Monster cable but works just as good! Thanks Amazon!
5 Stars Great for Xbox 360
I’ve recently bought two of these at the same time one for my self the other for a friend to be used with our xbox 360’s. After hooking mine up, I went straight into the systems video settings where i was surprised to be greeted by a large number of resolution settings to choose from.
( and… THEY ALL WORKED! as opposed to other types of connections 360 to VGA or some kind of Component to VGA box adapter).
I’m rather pleased with this cable I’m currently running the system on 1920×1080 wide screen and even though my monitor is not wide screen I can’t see any problems with my image at all I love it! The HDMI end of the cable is nice and thin which makes it easy to have it sit along side an other xbox 360 cable Not the component microsoft version though it’s plastic housing is too large, you could remove it though there are guides on line for this if you wish to try. I don’t have sound on this monitor Samsung SyncMaster 730B so I just used the regular RCA red yellow and white cables that came with the 360 and hooked up the sound portion of the cable to my speakers.
I’d recommend this to anyone who wants better display for their games on just about any monitor Mine is a 4:3 aspect ratio and it works great even at the highest wide screen rez so go for it!
5 Stars Forget those other overpriced cables
I’m not one to buy those overpriced cables, so when I needed a DVI to HDMI cable for my new Mac Mini I bought this one. Just as good as the high dollar ones. I hooked it up to my 73″ Mitsubishi DLP HDTV and Voila, nice HiDef Mac desktop on my TV. No more sitting at the computer desk looking at a small screen. I paid just under 3 bucks for the cable and it works as advertised.
So, forget those overpriced cables and do like I did. Great quality for a small price.
5 Stars great cable, great deal
When I first got my panasonic hd tv, I went out to radioshack and spent $49 on a dvi to hdmi cable to run from my comcast dvr to the tv. It did not work. I took it back. Ordered this cable. it works great, and vastly cheaper. Unbelievable!
1 Star Not a true conversion to DVI
I bought this cable to replace an oversived HDMI to DVI adapter I was using. When I put this in place I started getting an error on my TV saying that it did not accept HDMI over DVI or something of that sort. So, DVI cable + DVI to HDMI adapter works and this cable doesn’t.
