5 Stars Can’t believe the difference…
I thought the resolution on the XBox360 was pretty good with a CRT TV – I was impressed at how clear everything was when we shifted to a 1080p LCD TV, using the old cable. Then I got one of the HDMI cables – WOW! There’s a HELL of a lot more detail available in the picture than I ever saw before.
$1.33 per cable – and some argue that this cable isn’t any good. My suggestion is that before you go for ANYTHING more expensive, try it for yourself. I bought three cables (DVD, cable box, XBox) for less than the price of the cheapest WalMart HDMI cable, even with shipping. It doesn’t have a fancy clamshell case, it’s just a generically packed cable in a plastic bag. No fancy instructions, no pretty graphics telling you how to install the cable (like you’re really brain-damaged enough to need them…) – there’s just a cable. In a bag.
And it WORKS.
If it doesn’t work for your particular application, you’re out a trifling amount and you can go buy some Monster cables. But I’m thinking it’ll work just fine for any normal consumer item you’re likely to get.
1 Star Terrible Display
I connected this cable from my new Samsung 1080p TV to my new blue-ray player expecting to receive a great picture. The display from the televison was jumpy and filled with static. I finally disconnected the thing.
I’m very disappointed with this cable. I guess you get what you pay for.

I keep hearing about concerns over cheap HDMI cables, and how the PS3 is very sensitive to bad cables. I’m happy to say that this cable looks like a high quality part, and works perfectly with my PS3!

The product works great and for the price, it is a great deal. I had bought a Canon HG10 and the brand name cables from Sony/Canon were all over fifty bucks! So I used to use the component video to watch images. After I got this cable, what a difference it makes to see pure HD on the TV! No need to hesitate buying this product. One thing I noticed was that the C-end of the cable didn’t fit smugly into the camcorder end, but there was no problem in the video output.

Product usually works. Sometimes there are white lines, but if I tighten the connection and push the wire really in, then it works.
2 Stars Did NOT work for Canon Vixia HF-100
If you are looking for a mini-HDMI cable to output HD video from your Canon Vixia HF-100 camcorder to your hi-def television, this is NOT the cable for you (either that, or I just got a lemon). I tried to use this cable to connect my HF-100 to my HDTV, but it did not work. Unlike other reviewers, I found the connections to be secure (no looseness that I experienced), but there was absolutely no video outputted to my television. Just a black screen, as if no video was being transmitted at all. I returned this cable, bought a different one, and it worked perfectly with the same camcorder and same TV. So I chalk up the problem to this cable, for what it’s worth.
1 Star Didnt Work With Dony HDR-SR11
It simply did not work right with the HDR-SR11 HandyCam.
I was able to get it working for 10 seconds by holding the cable “Just So” but it did not fit snugly into the miniHDMI on the camera
Maybe it was just mine.. but I order a better (read more expensive) one instead
1 Star You get what you pay for
Most of the HDMI cables at best buy start in the $60+ range, so when I saw this one for under $20, I thought, “a cable is a cable is a cable,” right? Wrong! This cable simply doesn’t work. The cable maybe alright, but the connections are cheap and so I experienced a lot of video drops-outs and then complete lack of video. It is going back to whence it came.
